The Music Ministry is at it again.

We would like to invite you to come early this Sunday to join in another sing-a-long. Starting at approximately 10:05 a.m.-ish.

It is often celebrated on the Sunday after Easter (sometimes known as “Bright Sunday”) —is designed to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ with joy, laughter, and playfulness, focusing on the theme that God had the “last laugh” on the devil. It is a revival of an ancient Christian tradition where communities celebrated the victory over death, treating the resurrection as a joyous, divine surprise. Everyone needs a good laugh once in a while. The second Sunday of the Easter Season is the perfect time for worshipers to laugh together as a growing number of congregations celebrate Holy Humour Sunday.

Let’s Raise Funds With Our Easter Bottle Drive

Please bring in your empty bottles and beer cans beginning on Monday, April 6 until Sunday, April. 26, 2026. Please be sure to rinse your bottles and place your empty beer cans in a clear plastic bag with a note of how many are in the bag. This is extremely helpful.

It’s Easy! Pick up your gift card order form located in the Narthex. Fill in your name and telephone number at the top of the form. Choose your gift cards from the list of participating retailers. Circle the value you wish to purchase for each gift card ($10.00, $25.00, $50.00, $100.00 etc.).

Submit your order form to Barbara Forder or Kari Vanderzee along with your payment, either by cash, cheque payable to the church or an e-transfer at transfigfundscrip@gmail.com You can also drop off your order form & payment to Lindsey during church office hours. Please be sure to hand in your order form and payment by Sunday, May 24.

On behalf of Barry and Karen, and myself, we want to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone who generously donated winter clothing for those experiencing homelessness this past winter. Your kindness has provided warmth, comfort, and dignity to individuals who face the harsh realities of winter without the security of a home.

Because of your compassion, coats, hats, mittens, scarves, and other essentials have reached people who truly need them. These gifts are more than practical items — they are expressions of Christ’s love made visible through your generosity. You have helped remind our neighbours that they are not forgotten and that they are held in care by this community. Thank you for living out the Gospel in such a tangible and meaningful way. May God bless you for the warmth you have shared and the hope you have offered!

Maundy Thursday is the day we recall Jesus institution of the Lord’s Supper, we commemorate Jesus washing his disciples feet, and we are reminded of the desertion of the disciples in the Garden of Gethsemane as Jesus is falsely arrested by the religious leaders.

This is an important service where we silently watch as the altar is stripped of all its adornments and left bare during Good Friday and Saturday. The service is celebrated with a potluck supper as we remember Jesus admonition to gather together in fellowship.

April 3 from 1:00-3:00pm. If your children attended the Lent Messy Church don’t forget to bring your jars full of beads with you!

Kind of like at Christmas but this is Easter instead 😊 Lindsey & the Brood of Vipers aka Transfiguration Music Ministry would like to invite you to come early on Easter Morning. To join in a super. fun – Sing A Long. Rumour has it they will be singing a U2 Song. Starting at approximately 10:00 a.m.

Please pick up your copy today and if there is anyone you can deliver one to that would be so helpful.

Sign up sheet is in the Narthex and donation envelopes are in the Church. Make a donation in memory of loved ones.

Folks, the next clothing pick up for the Homeless is on This Sunday March 29. Any clothing, shoes, blankets in any condition is appreciated. You can bring in your donations early if you like and put them in the last room on the left in the May Wing (that wouldn’t be Sheila’s office). Thanks once again for your generous donations!

Please join us for our Alongside Hope Lenten lunch (PWRDF) on Sunday, March 22 after the 10:30 service. A sign up sheet is in the Narthex. We are looking for soup, chilli and buns. If you have any questions, please see Kari V.

This year we will be reading “Rooted in Love” a book of Lenten Reflections by The Archbishop of Canterbury, The Most Reverend Sarah Mullally. We will be gathering on Fridays in Lent beginning on February 27 at 1:00 in person a.m. The book can be downloaded, there are few if any physical copies available.

Note: The 7:00 p.m. Zoom book study group has been cancelled. We will still be meeting at 1:00 here at the church if you can join us.
