Lent & Easter Schedule

Messy Church 1:00-3:00 p.m.

Easter Sunday: April 20 @ 8:30 a.m. & 10:30 a.m.

On Sunday April 27th at 4:00 pm Grace Lombarczki will be confirmed at Christ Church Cathedral. All are welcome.

On April 27th we will be receiving 2 certificates from Climate Justice Niagara, (the Diocesan group which promotes the care for the beautiful world we have been gifted by God), for our Community Garden and Pollinator Garden. Please join us as we celebrate this important work our parish has been doing.

Climate Justice Niagara is also hosting the following Webinar. Please check out the Diocesan website for more info and to sign up.

Saturday April 26 at 10:00 we will be doing a post winter clean up of the community gardens. All help appreciated, bring gloves and any gardening implements if you have them, if you don’t they will be provided. No previous experience needed.

As an extension to our bottle drive, we would like everyone to bring in their empty bottles for 2 weeks after Easter. Please save your bottles between now and Easter and bring them to the church the week of April 20 to May 4.

Please do not bring any bottles in on Easter
Sunday.

If you would like to continue to contribute to the bottle drive, you can return your empties to the beer store and donate your funds in the bottle drive collection box in the Narthex.

Birchway Niagara is in need of some support for some families coming into the shelter.

We are in need of baby sleepers, clothing, pjs and warm coats for ages 0-3 months and 3-6 months for girls as well as boys 0-12 months. We have quite a few pregnant clients and newborns coming into the shelter and we’re just trying to spread the word that we need clothing for them. (These sizes only please.)

We are also in need of new Baby crib sheets and new baby towels. These items must be new due to health and safety requirements.

Drop offs to the shelter can be arranged by contacting Teagan directly via email teaganf@birchway.ca, or can be dropped off at church and will be delivered to Birchway.

A huge thank you to the donors of the new Kitchen Counter.

On Friday mornings from 10:30 to 11:30 throughout Lent we will be reading sections of the book, “Connecting with God”. We will be talking about, listening to God through creation, seeing God in dreams and visions, wrestling with God, hearing God through other people and encountering God’s messengers.

The dates are March 14, 21, 28 and April 4 and 11.

Pick up your Easter Letters this Sunday and if you help deliver 1 or 2 that would be so appreciated and help save costs on postage stamps.
